Hello ACBS Community! Please join for us for an upcoming workshop, Ecotherapy in Action: Cultivating Connection with the Natural World for Healing, Resiliency and Activism with Ariana Candell, LMFT.

Workshop Information:

We are living in the turbulent times of climate emergency, systemic racial injustice and widespread disconnection and disregard for the natural world. The field of Ecopsychology and its practical application, Ecotherapy, address these issues with positive, practical and proven interventions and philosophical ideas.  We will experience and learn Ecotherapy practices to use with ourselves and our clients for: nervous system regulation, somatic exploration, connection with the natural world for healing, expressing eco-grief and anxiety and invitations to activism.

This training is appropriate for mental health providers at all skill levels who are interested in learning about Ecotherapy. Ecotherapy has many techniques that can be used indoors, on Zoom and outdoors that can be applied to a variety of clients.

Presenter:

Ariana Candell, LMFT, R-DMT, Ecotherapist, is a licensed psychotherapist with 20-plus years experience and a pioneer in the emerging field of Somatic Ecotherapy. For the last decade, she has been an active leader in transforming the field of psychotherapy to include connecting to the natural world as an essential part of healing.
