Description of the Online Discussion Session(s):

As a follow-up to our November 2023 workshop (Introduction to the Internal Family Systems (IFS) Model for ACT Practitioners: An Experiential Workshop - led by LaDonna Silva, LMFT), we are pleased to offer two online discussions on how to integrate IFS strategies into your current practice in an ACT congruent way.

There will be two separate sessions (you are welcome to attend one or both as you'd like). The Friday session will be co-facilitated by Danielle Seybold, LMFT and Kirstin Quinn Siegel, LMFT. The Saturday session will be facilitated by Danielle. The live discussion will be recorded and made available to registrants for 2 weeks after the event.

Intended Audience:

This discussion is suitable for all postgraduate professionals, including psychologists, counselors, social workers, etc. who are interested in learning about IFS and parts work, which can be used within a CBS-aligned/ACT frame. A working knowledge of ACT and some familiarity with IFS would be helpful as this discussion is intended to deepen and enhance an understanding of how to use IFS methods to target client processes of attention, thinking, affect, sense of self, motivation, and behavior to move ACT processes forward.

Fees:

Those who participated in the Nov 2023 IFS workshop at Fort Mason may register for these follow-up discussion for free.

Any other ACBS member, professional, or student may register with a suggested values-based donation ($5, $10, or $25). Registrants will be sent a Zoom link(s) for the desired date(s) of participation. (You will need to pre-register using the Zoom registration link so we can get an estimate of how many participants are expected.) Registrants will be emailed a handout prior to the online discussion and a link to the session recording (good for 2 weeks after the event).
